while researching the subject of john lennon's assassination/murder i discovered that there had been many songs written about it by various artists. after finding this out i decided perhaps the song's lyrics should be from mark david chapman's point of view and a fan reading about it in the newspaper...

when i listened to the playback there was a short acoustic guitar track at the end which was a bit of a mystery as to how it got there! i decided to put some vocals on it so it was a bit like the end of the "abbey road" lp when paul mccartney sings "her majesty"...

i listened the track again this evening and had some reservations about the mix so i've remixed it and hopefully improved it...

i'll be putting a bonus track up as soon as it's completed. i realised a glaring omission for placing on the empty chair was the crew of apollo 11 ~ quite how the three of them would fit on a single chair i don't know. the track's is “one small step”. dw
